All guest rooms at The Saratoga Farmstead have a private bath, individually zoned heat, ceiling fans and air conditioning. And, all have been recently renovated and redecorated.
Care has been taken to retain the charm and character of the circa 1780's home. The home's history is reflected by the old pine plank flooring, oak paneling and over-sized windows that fill the Rooms with both sunlight and moonlight. The comfortable mix of antique and eclectic furnishings, books, art and artifacts add a homey feeling to the large residence.
The Artist's Room is a very large room flooded with sunlight as soon as the day breaks. Decorated in tapestry-like colors of gold, merlot, copper and bronze, the walls highlight an eclectic mix of original art to amuse and adorn. The comfortable sitting area encourages guests to browse the collection of art books. A king size bed plus a double futon make this an adaptable room.
The Sewing Room is a charming room with its soft green walls and four-poster queen size canopy bed, a restored push-pedal Singer sewing machine, comfortable antique rocker and arm chairs, old pine-plank flooring, an intricate antique parlor stove and writing desk round out the room's character. Three large sunny windows look out over the diverse pastoral scenes of the farmstead.
On the ground level of the house is The Saratoga Room. This lovely room is adjacent to the parlor. A queen size canopy bed, draped in rich red and gold fabric and piled high with pillows, is inviting, as is the comfortable sitting area in front of the exposed brick chimney. The colors are deep reds and gold, giving a calming ambiance to this room.
The bright and sunny Garden Room is a relaxing, earthy place to stay. Soft yellow walls, lace curtains and white wicker furniture evoke a sunny day on the farm. House plants and artwork depicting plant life adorn the room.
